Make the Right Choice: In-Home vs. Mobile Pet Grooming

Is your pet desperately in need of a deep-clean bath, trim, or even de-matting? Grooming a pet yourself can be scary. You don't want to hurt them and you also might not do the best job. You don't want your pet to look silly when you try to DIY a lion cut!

But how can you ensure that your pet doesn't get stressed out when you travel to the grooming salon? Have you considered mobile pet grooming? What if the groomers could come straight into your home?

If you're not sure what kind of grooming is right for you and your pet, you're in the right place. Keep reading to learn more about why keeping your pet at home with you might be the right answer.

A Comfortable Environment

If you have a pet that gets easily distressed or overstimulated, leaving the house can be an ordeal.

Even when you're just taking the pet into a different vehicle for grooming purposes, your pet can be confused and upset by the unfamiliar environment. Most pets don't enjoy being groomed in the first place, so this won't help make the situation less distressing.

Mobile in-van grooming is better than salon grooming in this sense, as you only have to go a few steps, but in-house grooming is even better.

Your pet knows the area and it feels as though it's in its own territory. It may feel like it has more control.

While it won't enjoy the grooming, it will be less stressed out.

Human Involvement

Mobile pet grooming in a van allows you to spend less time away from your pet as you would with a salon groomer. After the travel and the waiting time, you really don't get to see what's going on at all while you're not with your furry friend. With van grooming you just take a few seconds to get from the house to the van and back.

With an in-house groomer, though, you don't ever have to leave your pet without you. This can be another thing that eases your pet's stress.

Not all groomers are comfortable with owners being in the room during the grooming, but you get to stay in the house and your pet knows that you're there.

You also get to know that the groomer is involved with your pet. Salons can be busy and crowded and your pet might not get the most attention. In your home, you know that your pet comes first.

Convenience

The average American doesn't have a lot of free time and they don't want to be spending what little free time they have driving back and forth from grooming appointments. Between work and school, finding time for an appointment can be tough and your "off-time" is for relaxing at home.

What if you could relax at home while the groomer is there?

In-home grooming is perfect for that. You don't need to take your pet anywhere and there's no time wasted during the grooming process.

While mobile grooming with a van is still convenient, what's more convenient than not leaving the house?
